Welcome to the BWB conference
On September 12th, 2008, the Austrian Federal Competition Authority will host an International Conference on Resale Price Maintenance, a one day conference in Vienna bringing together practitioners from regulatory authorities and private practice as well as academics.
In the light of recent developments in the US and the forthcoming revision of the EC Block Exemption on Vertical Agreements, the conference will offer a great opportunity to exchange views and to learn about the developments in Europe and the US. National enforcers will explain the (economic) rationale behind national cases. Practitioners and academics will analyse possible loopholes as well as alternatives and sum up their experience. This will lead to a better understanding whether there is a need for change in attitude towards RPM.
We are pleased to invite you to this conference which will open with an evening reception on September 11th, 2008, at "Fuhrgassl-Huber", a famous Viennese "Heuriger". Participation in the conference is free of charge. The conference language is English.
