Conference – Friday, 12th September, 2008

The conference will be held at the Palais Niederösterreich which is located right in the city centre. Over more than 400 years the Palais Niederösterreich (Altes Landhaus) was home to the political representatives of the Province of Lower Austria and a place of important historical events. After the Lower Austrian Parliament moved to the new capital St. Pölten in 1997, the site was restored. Since 2004 the Palais is used as a unique event location.

Reception – Thursday, 11th September, 2008

The evening reception will be hosted by the Mayor of Vienna and the Federal Competition Authority at the renown ed Viennese Heurige r Fuhrgassl-Huber (Welcome at 07.30pm). The "Heuriger" is typical for the region surrounding Vienna as the vineyards are close to the city. The word "Heuriger" refers both to the wine tavern where wine is served, and to the name used for this year's first wine.

There will be a bus pick up at the following two locations:

• Vienna State Opera, Opernring 2, 1010 Vienna at 06.15 pm
• Hotel Hilton Plaza, Schottenring 11, 1010 Vienna at 06.30 pm

After the reception the bus will return to these two locations and arrive there at around 11.30 pm.
